Staff Pick from Cottonmouth: Mark Folkrod - “Gettin’ Near Dawn”

One of the few electric performances, stompin’ percussion, and just an overall great song make this my pick for favorite performance of CXCW

Staff Pick from Sundowner: Seth Gray - “Midnight”

I love a good rip-your-heart-out country song, and Gray has a great one here.  Not to mention that he rocks the killer cowboy hat, and has one hell of a nice couch.

CBR for best group performance goes to Lee Bains III and The Gloryfires with their performance of Bomb In Gilead

Now we have gotten to the serious part. First up is our CXCW Lifetime Achievement Award to a very special CXCW Performance from Neko Case that was certainly the highlight of this year’s CXCW festival. We loved everything about this and the fact it was to help a great cause is even more reason Neko deserves this prestigious and world class honor.
