Staff Pick from Bitterbranch: Pete Stein - “New Mexico”
I’m a sucker for sad songs, so the only thing this video is lacking is a cute dog.

Staff Pick from Cottonmouth: Mark Folkrod - “Gettin’ Near Dawn”
One of the few electric performances, stompin’ percussion, and just an overall great song make this my pick for favorite performance of CXCW

Staff Pick from Sundowner: Seth Gray - “Midnight”I love a good rip-your-heart-out country song, and Gray has a great one here.  Not to mention that he rocks the killer cowboy hat, and has one hell of a nice couch.

Now we have gotten to the serious part. First up is our CXCW Lifetime Achievement Award to a very special CXCW Performance from Neko Case that was certainly the highlight of this year’s CXCW festival. We loved everything about this and the fact it was to help a great cause is even more reason Neko deserves this prestigious and world class honor.
And a special thanks to Captains Dead for convincing her to perform for us

We told Emily the Intern to compile a list of our most frequent and favorite tweeters. If you’re not on here, blame her! Seriously though, we have had so much fun getting to know all of you!

Parlor Bells

These guys took CXCW to the next level. Our first non-seated video, Glenn di Benedetto and friends from Parlour Bells broke the couch “rule” and featured a moving elevator and hairbrush microphone.
